I think the hotel thief is *static noises*. I think that because of his route. Look at what is says on page 44. “He has a route leading through the mall and through the neighbor hoods around St. Mary’s Church.” That basically gives it away. Would you agree?
I have written the name of the Hotel Thief on the back of a 10, 5, and three 1 dollar bills. If I am incorrect then I promise to give Ben the money and take him directly to Toys’R’Us to spend it.
I was initially puzzled by this chapter and then realized that the reason I was puzzled was the key to the answer. Without giving too much away – the source of my puzzlement was why she chose that particular place to try to expose the thief.
I am so confident that I know who the thief is that I am going to have a hot dog for lunch.
