(Ch 11-12)
I enjoyed the images of Chapter 11, especially what must have been the look on Jake and E.D.s face when they reentered the school room. Jake had thought he have been pretty clever with Destiny but was proven very wrong!
When reading Chapter 12 I was reminded of the old philosophical question: "If a tree falls in the forest and nobody hears it, did it make a sound?"
Explain how this question is pertinent (meaning?) to Chapter 10.

On your comment on Jake and the fallen tree metaphor, it’s because no one even noticed his normally recognized features. No one but Destiny sees his normally intimidating hair, so he’s considering stopping the hair spiking. No one notices his black clothes or collar, which just make his life bad. He’s even shown a softer side, showing he’s changing. He is still trying to make destiny think he’s bad, but that’s not working completely. Will he change his wardrobe and… hair… now that it doesn’t matter anymore?
Yes - bullying, teasing, annoying, shocking behavior is only worth the trouble if it gets a reaction.
Now that Jake is in a place where his shocking behavior is not shocking anyone it forces him to contemplate the purpose of it all.
